The star persona I have created is a boss woman who usually stars in action spy movies- typically a villain or involved in some type of scheme. This mise en scene is also used in film noir. The make up created includes a dark eye area and red lip with defined face features, this creates a mysterious, prestigious look. Her hair is straight and slicked back which creates brings more attention to her face and attire, it also creates a sleek effect which brings the outfit together. Her attire of a long black dress with the use of fur creates a sophisticated, classy look. This attire creates the impression that she has money and is of a higher class. This idea is further reinforced through the use of diamond earrings and pearl bracelets.The use of all black clothing creates a mysterious effect which is an important aspect of this characters persona. The use of the prop of a cigar creates the impression that this character is of a higher status. Usually rich men smoke cigars as it is more of a masculine thing which suggests that this character has stereotypical elements of masculinity attached to her such as dominance and being in control. Also, smoke often links to mystery and secrecy and is often used in film noir.
